I’m Lady Itris, better known as The Feminine Nerd.
Technology has fascinated me for as long as I can remember. What started as curiosity quickly evolved into a genuine passion for understanding how systems work, how they fail, and most importantly, how they can be secured, governed, and improved. Over the years, that curiosity grew into a career centered around Microsoft technologies, cybersecurity, endpoint management, identity and access management, cloud platforms, modern workplace solutions, data protection, governance, compliance, and the Microsoft Purview suite.
I love diving into technical challenges and exploring the layers beneath the surface. Whether it’s dissecting the Windows boot process, implementing Microsoft Intune, designing Zero Trust solutions with Microsoft Entra, protecting data with Microsoft Purview, or helping organizations strengthen their security posture, I genuinely enjoy understanding not only how technology works, but also why it works the way it does.
This website is where I share that passion. Here you’ll find technical deep dives, practical guides, lessons learned, and the occasional nerdy rabbit hole that started with “I’ll just have a quick look” and somehow turned into several hours of research. My goal is simple: make complex topics easier to understand and share knowledge in a way that’s both educational and enjoyable.
Of course, life isn’t all about technology.
When I’m not immersed in the Microsoft ecosystem, you’ll often find me spending time with my Belgian Malinois, Lee. Thanks to an incredible dog school and an equally incredible trainer, we’ve been fortunate enough to learn and grow together in ways I never expected. A significant part of my free time is dedicated to training with Lee, focusing on obedience and protection exercises inspired by IPO/IGP, Mondioring principles and god knows which else I missed. What I enjoy most is the partnership that develops between dog and handler. Good training isn’t about force or control; it’s about trust, consistency, communication, and mutual respect.
Lee has taught me a lot over the years. Every training session is another lesson in patience, problem-solving, perseverance, and adapting your approach when something isn’t working. Strangely enough, the same principles apply remarkably well to technology. Whether you’re troubleshooting a complex security issue or helping a dog understand a new exercise, success rarely comes from taking shortcuts. It comes from understanding the fundamentals and building on them step by step.
I’ve also recently returned to another long-time passion: karate. Stepping back onto the tatami reminded me how much I appreciate the values that martial arts instill. Discipline, focus, resilience, humility, and continuous self-improvement are concepts that resonate strongly with me, both personally and professionally. Whether I’m working on a new security solution, training with Lee, or practicing karate, there is always something new to learn and another opportunity to improve.
At the end of the day, that’s what drives me: curiosity growth, safety and security. Technology evolves, security threats evolve, dogs learn, people grow, and there is always another challenge waiting around the corner.
